Mamee Jonker House in Melaka

The last time I visit to Mamee Jonker House was in 2014 year. Wow time fly, I attended alone with other bloggers. It was fun day visiting at Melaka at the same time it is tiring as going and back on the same day.

Well I am getting invitation again this time for Mother's Day, sad to say the day of event fall on Monday. It is tough decision for me because kids are schooling, so it's tough to ask kids to leave their studies and go on this trip.

Interesting flow of the event included:

10am-11am : Noodle Doodle - Mothers assist their kids in custom making of their own Chef noodle cup.

11am-12pm : Monster Kitchen - Mothers assist their kids in cooking their very own Mamee Monster Snack.

12pm-1:30pm : Lunch at Mamee Café – Indulge yourselves in our wide range of menu variety.

Though is a nice time to spend with kids, bonding together. But why choose the date on weekday as you know children need to go school and parents to need work on the day!

31 August Merdeka Day Malaysia

On Sunday morning nearly noon we headed to Avenue K, we visited the Discoveria. Parking at Avenue K and it cost RM5. We have to find back the lift that we took from the car park. My dear didn't know that the Avenue K is link to KLCC too, yeah you just need to walk pass the lrt station of KLCC.

It was a fun day for everyone, we was out all day long. Kids fall asleep in the car in the afternoon. We didn't wake them up as we continue the journey in the evening for dinner at Marrybrown in Giant USJ. We wanted to go F4 restaurant but passing by the restaurant in usj many cars and people are waiting outside.

Lucky we head to Giant USJ as sister-in-law wanted to buy Pantene shampoo and it comes with freebie bag when purchase of RM38.90 in a receipt, she bought 4 bottles of it. I bought a pair of sports shoes for myself.

Passing by in the car this beautiful Suria KLCC, I took the picture of it. 

Baby fair this weekend@Midvalley

This weekend has the baby fair for purchase any good deal on baby stuff and diapers. I don't think I'm going, it seems they have baby fair or parenthood fair now and then. You can go many times in a year, but I find that I don't need to go this weekend as son having exam next week. I prefer to stay home with him to revision him.

Going out will be hours and once back we'll be tired and no mood for anything else.

My friend told me of Sat with free movie treat for bloggers, movie can watch anytime but exam you can't have it any time.

Stationery: stapler for son

Son told me that I need to purchase a stapler for him because he needs to use it in class. The teacher told them last week, but he told me last Friday when I was driving home. Today I purchased the Stapler for him. I didn't purchase from Daiso as I know stapler cost can be lesser than RM5  if I purchase from other shop.

Spending smart is important!

I have a small notebook in my bag with a pen, I can use it to note down the item I bought and the price. It is important to list them down and adding them up to know how much I spend. No kidding with the expenses today I don't know how long I can be stay at home mom.

Sending my toddler to kindergarten or daycare at his age now is very costly. It does matter where you live and where the kindergarten located. You may think that the location is not important but if you are planning to send them far, the transportation fee is even higher.

Nothing is perfect, I guess I just have to hang in there and always calculate on what I have spend. Though being a woman I need to pamper myself sometimes.

Shopping new pencil box for son

I bought two pencil boxes for son, sad to say the Mickey Mouse trolley school bag is broken. It's badly damage that I think it will hurt son if he continue to use it. I have changed another trolley school bag for him.

I found a shop selling RM5 magnetic pencil box, I am happy and sad to see that they are selling fast. I mean sold out, I manage purchase two magnetic pencil box for him. That's good enough, I don't want him to change pencil box often. Unless is it not able to use anymore.

He's in the school now, I can have some my time to update my lovely blogs. :D

Lego Marvel Super Heroes

My son is very excited when he received this gift, thanks to his God father, he's giving him the expensive toy!

This set is Lego Marvel Super Heroes, he did build the toys empire by himself. Look how happy is my son, he's happy to show off to you.

Gonna keep this away from toddler, he's going to throw every piece of Lego in hand. :(

I am glad my seven year old son have fun with this, he can't get enough of it. He loves Lego toys, this is first time he's getting such big set of toy!

It's good for him to be creative and understand the manual guide from the paper to do it.

School is opening soon on this Thursday, he needs to sleep early and wake up early for school.

Education fee for son

Well it is all about money, there is education fee apply if I put him to go extra classes. It is for his education because the school he is studying wants high expectation. I didn't want him to be the best but I want him to try his best. :D

Education fee per subject $70 and supplement fee $40 per subject, what else? Need to pay for 6 months!

I need save money for him to go for education subjects which he's poor. Sad to say most subjects he's poor. :(

Math text book for son

I didn't want to say this but it is sad to know the boy took my son's math text book finally gives him back today. The bad news is I bought the new text book for him for replacement. Oh well, there goes my money $6.60 for the math text book. What am I going to do with it? It is no way to return shop for refund. :(

The books was inside his bag since Monday but Wednesday no longer there then Thursday today the boy return. I should have wait a few more days perhaps.

 

Shopping stationery for son

I bought some stationery for son, yeah looks like I love shopping for my son. He's in primary one and he has to learn to use write with mechanical pencil which I find easier for him because he no need to sharpen his pencils so often. I choose to purchase 2.0 mechanical pencil because they are thicker and not easy to break like 0.5 mechanical pencil. Let me know your thoughts on using mechanical pencil.

Some friends of mine think that children in primary school year one not allow to use mechanical pencil. I put both mechanical pencil and normal pencil for him to use. I have given him sharpener because his colour pencils will need to sharpen sometimes. I just throw away his old sharpener which no longer can be sharpen.

I went to the BIG BOOK STORE at Taipan USJ, it is located same roll with Watson and Guardian, corner of the building is McD. I want to go McD but I didn't, I have not purchase the Hello Kitty from McD.

Mechanical pencil 2.0 for my son

Get to know nice people in school and now we became friend. We meet up everyday because our boys studying in same school but different class. She is nice mommy of two children, her gal is always sticks to her.

She told me about the mechanical pencil 2.0 it is indeed very nice to use and less sharpening pencils. I am happy to know that my son loves using it, sad to say he loves the blue mechanical pencil and he has got new one which is purple in colour.

Alright, got to stop now. My toddler is crying due to teething, now 5th time pooped. Yeah he's in pain not the teeth pain but bottom!

Mommy on the budget

It is not the same for a new year, I need to be budget spending because my son's education and school involved money. I hope it is not true but it is, his meals and seating in canteen needs money. If ound out that many school started to have tuition in school, that's great because the children no need to go outside of school tuition. I found out some parents do give extra classes for the children to go tuition even after school.

Being mommy of two boys, I know that my kids are my priority. I will try to update my blogs as often as possible if I have the time as I don't want to neglect my blogs they are like my children too.

I don't want my son to be stress at school, I do bring him on movies. I encourage parents to buy exercise books for children to do rather than buying for them. I am trying to practice this on my son, sometimes he can have both if I can afford to buy. I am thankful that I won a Consolation prize recently and it is a toy for my kids to play.

Looking for pink school trolley bags for primary kids

My friend is seeking for pink school trolley bags, it is important for her because her daughter is small size. She worry that she needs to carry heavy back pack so better find a school trolley bag for her. I told her where I have got my son's school trolley bag. My son has got the Mickey Mouse school trolley bag I bought for him during sales.

After bought the school trolley bags only I saw other type of school trolley bags like Ben 10 or Spiderman and Transformers. Well you know that boys will be boys!

I am sure she can find many pink school trolley bags available and let her daugher to pick of her favourite. She has got a son and a daughter just nice, she's not planning anymore children due to cost of living today. She has bought five pairs of school uniforms to iron them once a week. Being working mom, she send her children for daycare too.

My first walkman

I like to listen to radio and music, so you are looking at my first walkman. It is my first one because I used it during my education at school. I remember using it for more than hundred times, when comes to education it is very useful and important too. Before I go to bed at night I would record the studies in the cassette because I need to play it over and over again so that I remember them. Sometimes I am forgetful so examination is near so I need to play it over and over again to remember them. I like this walkman but sad to say it is not working anymore. I have this picture to share with you it is best memory for me. This walkman can reverse and playback.

You can try this out if you have time, but I think it is individual to experience it. You can even share with me how do you plan for your examination. Now comes to walkman I think not many people using them now, now they have MP3 and MP4. I have a MP3 and I gave to my darling to use it.

Friends at work

It is GT time and this time it is friends at work. Frankly speaking not many pictures to share with you as I some jobs I work I don't get to have my picture back. Above is a photo of friends at work, it was a happy moment at the environment, could you tell which is me?

In the picture some of them are Japanese teacher, and some is the admin staff at the work. I started this job as part time clerk for many months then to full time and I was told that I will be given free lesson of Japanese class to attend but it was not true! In the end I quit the job as I am not happy there anymore. No point of working there since my heart no longer there.

Don't think that language class is easy to attend as you need to study from Beginner level to another and it can up to Advance levels.

Oh hey, if you wonder which is me, I am the standing back second from left of this picture.
