Shopee Express Stays Committed to Timely Deliveries Despite Unpredictable Weather

Couriers navigate through difficult circumstances to provide relief to local communities

Shopee Express has overcome unpredictable weather conditions, especially in flood-prone areas, to ensure that essential deliveries are made on time. Despite the challenges posed by the weather in several locations such as Kuantan, Muadzam, and Rompin in Pahang as well as Johor Jaya, Kota Tinggi, Mersing, Muar, Segamat, and Yong Peng in Johor, Shopee Express remains committed to providing fast and reliable delivery services to communities in Malaysia.

The unpredictable weather in Malaysia posed significant challenges to businesses operating in the country, particularly those in the logistics and delivery sectors. In such cases, Shopee Express adapted quickly to ensure that unfavourable weather conditions do not impact couriers and deliveries in such scenarios. These measures enable them to deliver orders on schedule while maintaining a high level of safety, care, and precision.

While rescheduling may be necessary in some instances due to local authorities closing off specific routes due to potential high risk of flood or landslide, Shopee Express ensured that customers were kept informed of any changes to their delivery schedules through push notifications. Parcels were delivered diligently at the earliest possible time once conditions permitted.

Muhammad Faris Bin Ismail, 21, a Shopee Express courier from Sri Medan, Johor, who regularly covers Seri Damai Perdana, stated that during the recent flood, he had to navigate through floodwaters as high as 3.5 feet and was occasionally stranded during the journey. Amidst difficult conditions, he persists in delivering parcels safely by foot, fulfilling his duty and the confidence placed in him. He recognizes the importance of bringing joy and convenience to the local communities and feels grateful to be able to make a positive difference in people's lives.

Norazman Bin Mohd Ismail, 34, a Shopee Express courier from Karak, Pahang for over 2 years, shared that the flood season presents uncertainties for delivery services. He feels deeply for those impacted by the floods and strives to deliver parcels safely and promptly as he understands that some parcels may contain urgent items like food or supplements that customers need. Yet, he knows that circumstances beyond his control may result in delays and apologises beforehand for any inconvenience, all the while maintaining his commitment to offering reliable delivery services to customers.

Cheah Lee Sun, Head of Shopee Express, affirmed that timely delivery is important to the communities they serve. “We worked tirelessly to fulfil our promises, even in the face of unpredictable weather conditions. Our couriers are trained to handle such situations, and we are proud of their dedication to support the affected communities.”

“These hardworking couriers handle numerous orders every day, covering long distances to reach their destinations. The number of parcels delivered is a testament to their commitment to supporting local communities. Despite encountering unforeseen challenges along their journey, they display resilience and sacrifice their personal time with loved ones to fulfil their responsibilities."

Shopee Express has become a reliable and trustworthy partner for online shoppers, thanks to its same-day delivery and expanded coverage in Borneo. In order to ensure the safety of its couriers, Shopee Express carefully monitors the weather every day, and provides extra protection to customers' parcels by using gunny sacks and plastic wraps.

4 Tips for Choosing Tonight's Restaurant

You're ready to hit the town and enjoy some grub. But where should you go? With hundreds of restaurants, cafes, bistros and diners all demanding your attention in the city lights, it can be difficult to choose the one place where you'll be spending your evening. Here are just a few tips for narrowing down your options and finding somewhere nice.

1. Identify Your Cravings

Maybe you're in the mood for Italian. Maybe you're dying for something salty. Maybe you're willing to eat anything as long as it fits within your budget! There's no right or wrong answer when it comes to what you're craving; the key is figuring out what you're craving in the first place. When your friend asks you where you want to go, don't just shrug and say "anywhere." Give them a personal preference to help them make a decision.

2. Whip Out Your Smartphone

The 21st century makes it easy to compare and contrast restaurants. All you have to do is plug something like "seafood in Plano TX" into a search engine to find eating establishments that fit your criteria. You can also read reviews, look at pictures and check food safety reports for your chosen establishment. By the time that you actually arrive, you'll feel like you've already been there!

3. Browse Their Menu

This can be done both in-person and on your phone. The latter is more convenient, of course, but not all restaurants offer their entire selection on the web, so it might be necessary to physically visit their location. You can ask for a menu while you're waiting for your party to be seated. That way, you'll know right off the bat if there's anything on the menu that intrigues you.

4. Consider Its Freshness

This is especially important if you're in the mood for seafood. You'll want a restaurant that either catches its own fish or receives daily shipments straight from the docks. Don't be afraid to call and ask if this information isn't available on their website! You might also inquire about the freshness of their fruits, vegetables and other perishables. The restaurant should be more than happy to answer questions from a potential customer.

These are four ways to choose your next restaurant. Whether you're celebrating a fancy anniversary or just looking for a cheap place to grab a burger, let these tips guide you towards a nice evening on the town.

Planning to go Melaka

It's been more than 5 years since my parents last step foot in Melaka, the last trip with them were few years back. Melaka town is fulled with many food to eat, I am hoping to dine for my favourite meals there.

Can't wait it's just few more days to go and we going to have family vacation there. My dear checked the best deal would be in Swiss Garden Hotel and Apartment, we haven't been to this hotel before it would be our first experience there.

We thought of Hatten Hotel but the family suite for 4 pax cost up to RM880 a night with only breakfast for 4 pax. I read about the hotel accommodation review on the hotel.

For us the accommodation is important because we prefer family room. The connection room in the hotel would be fine for us, but these days not many hotels are having this convenient. The new rooms in hotel now are mostly side by side for your convenience it's not connecting room after all. We want to stick together so it's best to be staying close together. Nobody wants to be split up or in separate rooms which is far apart from each other.

Delicious food I bring home the night at Blogger Award 2014,  click link to read more about it.

If you wanna try them you can also purchase from Jaya Grocer, Village Grocer or Jaya Jusco.

Slurp..

We even try on soup too, very delicious and everyone in family like to eat. How about you? Do you like seafood?

One thing I learn, never drink milk after having seafood, it will make you goes sick! Remember that milk and seafood cannot mix together in one tummy.

The Main Place Mall, USJ21

Yesterday night after a quick dinner, we head to the new mall that's The Main Place Mall at USJ 21, Subang Jaya. It's an interesting mall but it's not a big mall. You can find Daiso, Uniqlo, Toys R Us, Jaya Grocer, Machines, D Empire, etc. Sad to tell you that the mall is not user friendly, they don't provide many benches for seating. The only way you can go seat is head to food and beverage restaurant.

The mall parking is limited, my dear drives up to many floors. We go down the escalator we saw Popular Book store.

It's not a very big mall, but some people it's better than USJ 19 mall.

Tosai@SS15 Subang Jaya

There you go, you are looking at Tosai favourite food for my sister-in-law she loves Tosai so much every time she is there will definitely order this food. There's coconut with mint for the white syrup you look above picture. The in between is the gravy of curry and daul, which is better? She loves them all...

I don't always eat Tosai as I find that I still hungry later, so I ordered other food like Mamak maggie mee goreng which is my favourite with the bull eyes on top! Oh yeah bull eyes mean the fried egg, not the real bull eyes.

I also like the Tandoori chicken and garlic naan at this restaraunt, yeah forget the name of restaurant. It is next to the 24 hours shop, if not mistaken the shop name is KK! The busy street too always difficult to find parking in day and night. It is quite far away from Asia Cafe, oh the cafe I seldom go because often no parking at night.

Yesterday night date with my dear cancel because my son fall sick. He's everything to us, so no movie nevermind but be with him every moment. He has purging and vomit, one of his school mate got it too!

I miss Japanese food

I haven't been to Japan before but there are sushi selling here too. Have you try any sushi? Well, I really miss eating sushi and I have thought about going for buffet. But its really expensive. One person cost about $80. It's like all you can eat! You can eat as long as you can but I am sure everyone has a limit on food.

There are other restaurants with Japanese Food but I don't know how their food taste like. I was told by friends that some restaurant cut the portion of salmon real small. That's not nice to eat at all.

Thinking about Donut

I know it's funny when I am thinking about shopping I have another thing in mind. I want to eat Donut. I love the Big Apple Donut and there are many variety to choose from but I haven't got the chance to try them all.

So far I have tried the Durian flavour, let me tell you. If you are thinking to buy Durian flavour, buy it alone! Don't ever buy together with other flavour it will ruined them. I am not kidding just the other day I bought 6 Donut and 1 of it is Durian and guess what? Every donut in the packet smell the same! Funny is that I think I tasted all like mixture of Durian.

Not everyone like the smell of Durian. I bet you know what's Durian. If you have tasted it tell me whether you like it or not.

Oh Donut, I miss you so much. I want to eat you! Donut... Donut... Donut...
